The Criss Cross Petite Sirah is a bold and robust red wine that showcases the classic characteristics of the Petite Sirah grape variety. On the nose, the Criss Cross Petite Sirah offers an enticing bouquet of blackberry, blueberry, and dark cherry, accompanied by hints of black pepper and vanilla. These aromas intertwine harmoniously, creating a complex and inviting olfactory experience. Upon tasting, the wine reveals its full-bodied nature, with rich flavors of ripe black fruits, such as blackberry and plum, taking center stage. The palate is further enhanced by notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and a touch of smokiness, adding depth and complexity to the overall profile. The tannins in this wine are firm yet well-integrated, providing a structured mouthfeel and ensuring a long and satisfying finish. The Criss Cross Petite Sirah is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but it also has the potential to age gracefully, allowing its flavors to further develop and evolve over time. It pairs exceptionally well with hearty dishes such as grilled meats, stews, and aged cheeses.
