The Sangiovese-based Sangioveto is a Toscana wine that can also be classified as a Chianti Classico. The winemaker of Badia a Coltibuono excels in enhancing the intense sour cherry flavors of Sangiovese. After a 5-month maceration and 12-month ageing in oak tanks, the wine offers a deep aroma of maraschino and amarena notes, with a decadent and supple texture. The finale is recognized by edgy tannins, sour cherries, and walnuts, leaving a lingering impression.
