A pleasant, everyday Chianti that pairs well with soft cheese and salami, accompanied by a flavorful rosemary-infused sourdough flatbread.

Intense and layered red with a dry medium body, featuring a nose of blackberry vanilla and spice, followed by a impression of dry black cherry, plum, and oak. The finish is long and satisfying, with accents of deep licorice earth, pepper, dark chocolate, and a hint of cherry.

What the web is saying

Collazzi I Bastioni Chianti Classico is praised for its rich, full-bodied texture and complex flavor profile, featuring notes of black cherry, plum, vanilla, and spice. While some appreciate its smooth tannins and long finish, others find it more suitable for casual occasions rather than long-term aging. The wine pairs well with a variety of foods, offering a good value for its price.

Voss Experts4.3

This Collazzi I Bastioni Chianti Classico is a stunning example of Italian terroir. The nose is full of aromas of ripe red fruit, cherries, and subtle notes of forest floor and herbs. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied, with a smooth texture and flavors of blackberry and sweet spices. The finish is long and lingering, with hints of cocoa and leather. Enjoy this wine now or cellar for up to 8 years for more complexity.
