Ruby-hued wine with a medium to full body, unveiling a dry and silky smoothness with a consistent cohesion of crispness and tannins. The nose features a voluptuous and textured bouquet, with undertones of leather, blackberry, cherry, and tobacco, alongside subtle flavors of oak, dark fruit, and a elegant cigar-like character. The impression is well-balanced, with a medium length and a comforting finish, although I found it to be a relatively light-bodied wine, with a tail that felt somewhat underwhelming. I was expecting a more substantial and full bodied Portuguese red, but this wine's ultimately character was somewhat disappointing. I would have preferred a wine with more weight and depth, and I would caution against revisiting this wine in the future. The rating is therefore lower than I had anticipated.
