Château Guiraud Sauternes (Premier Grand Cru Classé) 2017

Château Guiraud Sauternes is celebrated for its rich, honeyed sweetness and complex flavors of apricot, citrus, and tropical fruits. While many appreciate its luxurious texture and long finish, some find it overly sweet. The wine pairs well with desserts and cheeses, and its aging potential is frequently praised. While some vintages are noted for their balance and depth, others are criticized for lacking freshness or complexity.

Château Guiraud Sauternes is a golden-hued Premier Grand Cru Classé from the Sauternes appellation. On the nose, aromas of honey, ripe apricots, and candied oranges soar from the glass, with touches of botrytis spice and sweet crème brûlée. On the palate, the wine is lusciously sweet and unctuous, with a perfectly balanced acidity that is harmonious with the ripe tropical fruits and candied citrus flavors. The finish is long and lingering, with a strong minerality. A truly remarkable example of Sauternes.
