WINE DESCRIPTION
Château du Basty Régnié is a delicate red wine produced using the Gamay grape, coming from the Régnié appellation in Beaujolais, France. Régnié is classified as one of the ten Crus, considered to be one the best sites for growing Gamay in the region. This wine is produced from grapes grown in the estate's vineyards that are planted on granitic soils. Grapes are hand-harvested and careful sorted before undergoing a fermentation in stainless steel vats. The wine is matured for a period in large oak barrels (foudres) and steel vats prior to its release.
