Château Carbonnieux Pessac-Léognan Blanc (Grand Cru Classé de Graves) 2023

Château Carbonnieux Pessac-Léognan Blanc is praised for its elegant balance of citrus, tropical fruits, and minerality. It offers a smooth, creamy texture with hints of oak and a refreshing acidity. While some find it vibrant and complex, others note a lack of density in older vintages. Its versatility makes it a great pairing for seafood and light dishes, appealing to both casual drinkers and connoisseurs.

This Château Carbonnieux Pessac-Léognan Blanc (Grand Cru Classé de Graves) has a pale lemon color which belies its concentrated style. The nose is citric and grassy while the broad palate bursts with juicy nectarine fruit balanced by tangy acidity. The oak-laced finish is long and lingering and decidedly moreish. Whilst this wine is suited to steak-like white fish like marlin or chicken it can also be a joy to drink on its own. This wine can be enjoyed now or cellar for up to 12 years to allow candied citrus peel notes to develop.
