Castro Ventosa Valtuille El Rapolao is crafted from Mencía grapes grown in the El Rapolao vineyard, located in the Bierzo region of northwest Spain. This area benefits from a continental climate with Atlantic influences, providing a balance of warm days and cool nights that enhance grape ripening while preserving acidity. The wine undergoes fermentation in large oak vats, followed by aging in French oak barrels, which imparts subtle complexity and structure. This medium-bodied red offers a vibrant expression of red fruit flavors, with well-integrated tannins and a fresh finish, ideal for those exploring the unique character of Bierzo wines.
