Nuanced stability of floral and fruit notes, with subtle flavors of tree fruit, creates a well blended and vibrant profile.

Light Pinot noir, a disappointing top pick

The nose is influenced by by honeysuckle, with horns of peach and apricot adding a nuanced nuance. The palate is understated, lacking a clear fruit profile, instead relying on voluptuous red fruit and sweet hay for depth. The follow through is where the fruit profiles truly shine, with a pleasing equilibrium of sweet and savory notes. However, the palate's blandness until the finale is a notable drawback, resulting in a slightly lower rating.

What the web is saying

Castle Rock Rosé of Pinot Noir is praised for its floral and fruit notes, vibrant profile, and crisp, dry finish. Some enjoy its peachy and sweet flavors, while others find it too sweet or lacking complexity. The wine's soft salmon hue and fruity aromas are appreciated, though its short finish and occasional blandness are noted drawbacks.

Voss Experts4.3

This rosé presents a delicate ballet of pale salmon hues, inviting the nose with a bouquet of wild strawberries and white peach, underscored by subtle rose petal and mineral nuances. On the palate, it reveals a crisp, refreshing structure, with vibrant acidity that dances gracefully alongside flavors of red currant and a whisper of citrus zest. The finish is clean and precise, with a gentle hint of saline minerality that speaks to its coastal origins. This rosé exemplifies the finesse and elegance typical of Pinot Noir, offering a delightful expression of its varietal character.
