Full bodied and rich wine with a deep, silky texture, delivering a sweet and fruity profile with a accent of opaque cherry undertones.

The restaurant's claim of a Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend was somewhat misleading, as it was primarily Merlot. The wine was more medium-bodied, with a velvety ending and a mild tannin presence. The plum and intense cherry undertones were well-balanced, with a note of vanilla and pepper. The wine was easy to drink and paired well with the Lamb Pulao, complementing the spices in the Afghan meal. Overall, a inviting and seamless pairing.

Deep and intense wine with a strong, heavy, and sour character

What the web is saying

Ca' Momi Merlot receives praise for its rich, fruity profile featuring cherry, plum, and chocolate notes, with a smooth texture and balanced tannins. While most appreciate its full-bodied character and velvety finish, some find inconsistencies in body weight and occasional sour notes. The wine's oak integration and affordable sophistication make it popular, though a few note misleading blend descriptions.

Voss Experts3.8

This Ca' Momi Merlot is a delightful and smooth red wine that offers lush aromas of ripe cherry and dark berry fruits. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well balanced, with a juicy core and soft, integrated tannins. The finish is long and elegant, with notes of spice and dark chocolate. Enjoy this wine now or cellar for a few years to further develop complexity.
