This Bourgogne Aligoté presents a pale straw hue, indicative of its youthful vibrancy. The nose is a precise bouquet of green apple, lemon zest, and a subtle hint of white blossom, underscored by a mineral edge typical of its Burgundian terroir. On the palate, it is light-bodied yet assertive, with a crisp acidity that enlivens flavors of citrus and a whisper of almond. The finish is clean and refreshing, marked by a saline minerality that lingers elegantly. Bourgogne Aligoté is crafted from the Aligoté grape, a lesser-known varietal in Burgundy, France. This wine is typically grown in cooler vineyard sites, which help preserve its natural acidity. The winemaking process often involves fermentation in stainless steel tanks to maintain freshness and varietal purity, with minimal oak influence to highlight its crisp character. Bourgogne Aligoté is known for its light body and vibrant acidity, offering flavors of green apple, citrus, and a hint of minerality. It is best enjoyed young, as an aperitif or paired with seafood and light salads.
