The nose reveals a rich perfume of plum, tobacco, spices, and pomegranate, with a delicate wisp of cranberry and a touch of violet

Rich and detailed wine with a deep, bold fruit character on the nose, graceful by a crisp freshness that cuts through the richness. The tongue is a consistent blend of fruit and earthy notes, with a subtle toastiness and a spicy, soft ending that leaves a persistent impression.

What the web is saying

Botromagno Primitivo is praised for its rich, full-bodied character with notes of plum, cherry, and spices. While some appreciate its smooth texture and complex aromas of forest floor and chocolate, others find it overpowering and lacking balance. The wine's aging potential and vibrant acidity are often highlighted, making it a versatile choice for pairing. Opinions vary on its intensity, but it remains a rewarding experience for many.

Voss Experts3.8

Botromagno Primitivo has a deep ruby color and aromas of dark fruits, such as blackberry and cherry, as well as notes of dried herbs and subtle spice. On the palate, it has a smooth, supple texture with flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate, and a hint of licorice. It has a firm tannic structure and a long, pleasant finish. Overall, this is a well-balanced and enjoyable wine.
