Voss Expert tasting note

This Pinot Noir, hailing from the distinctive red limestone soils, presents a luminous ruby hue. The nose is a sophisticated interplay of ripe red cherries, wild strawberries, and a whisper of forest floor, underscored by a delicate floral lift. On the palate, it reveals a poised structure with fine-grained tannins and a vibrant acidity that frames the fruit elegantly. Subtle notes of clove and a hint of minerality add depth, leading to a long, refined finish. This wine exemplifies the finesse and complexity typical of its terroir, making it a benchmark for cool-climate Pinot Noir.

Blauburgunder Vom Roten Kalk is crafted from Pinot Noir grapes grown on the distinctive red limestone soils of the region, which impart a unique mineral character. The vineyard benefits from a cool climate, promoting slow ripening and enhancing the wine's aromatic complexity. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of fruit, followed by aging in neutral oak barrels to add subtle depth without overwhelming the wine's natural elegance. The result is a balanced, medium-bodied wine with bright acidity and notes of red berries, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate refined Pinot Noir expressions.
