Bidoli Merlot

Bidoli Merlot offers an opulent, intense flavor profile with smoky notes, ideal for pairing with wood-fired pizza. While some appreciate its mellow, silky texture and multifaceted aroma, others find it has bitter tannins and high acidity. The wine's light, sweet character and hints of lilac, raspberry, and blueberry are noted, but it may require patience to mature fully.

Displaying a deep garnet hue, the Bidoli Merlot opens with an inviting bouquet of ripe black cherry and plum, interwoven with hints of cedar and subtle cocoa. On the palate, it reveals a medium to full-bodied structure, with velvety tannins and a balanced acidity that enhances its vibrant fruit core. The mid-palate is enriched by nuances of dark chocolate and a whisper of dried herbs, leading to a lingering finish marked by a touch of minerality. This Merlot exemplifies the finesse and elegance typical of Friuli's winemaking prowess, offering a harmonious expression of the region's terroir.
