A pure Tempranillo from the DOCa Rioja, grown in vineyards between 500 and 800 meters above sea level, characterized by clay, limestone, and partly iron-rich soils. The Tempranillo Elaboracion Especial is fermented in American oak barrels, with regular punching down of the cap promoting the extraction of intense aromas and color pigments from the berries. After nine months of barrel aging and a further six months of bottle aging, it reveals warm, seductive notes of red fruits, cocoa, and chocolate on the nose. On the palate, it presents itself as round and harmonious, with juicy cherry fruit and subtle spicy nuances of cinnamon and licorice, perfectly integrated with warm wood aromas for additional richness and length.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
Beronia Rioja Tempranillo Elaboración Especial is a remarkable wine with the best of Rioja's Tempranillo grape. With its deep ruby color and medium to full body, this wine offers a complex and elegant experience for the senses.
On the nose, you can expect a bouquet of ripe red fruits such as cherries and plums, accompanied by subtle hints of vanilla and spice. These aromas are a result of the wine's aging in oak barrels, which adds depth and complexity to the overall profile.
The palate is equally impressive, with a harmonious balance between fruitiness and oak influence. The ripe red fruits continue to dominate, accompanied by notes of tobacco, leather, and a touch of balsamic. The tannins are well-integrated, providing a smooth and velvety texture that lingers on the finish.
Beronia Rioja Tempranillo Elaboración Especial is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but it also has the potential to age gracefully. It pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and aged cheeses.
