Disappointing exploration in Barcelona, where a hotel's limited red wine selection was a major letdown. The wine was served straight from the fridge, which only added to the unappealing experience. The nose was marked by by blackcurrant and cherry, but these notes quickly became generic and unremarkable on the palate. A standard Rioja, to be sure, but one that I would gladly forget after six consecutive nights.
