Barbanera Nero di Troia Puglia is praised for its elegant blend of red and blue fruit notes, smooth tannins, and rich, jammy quality. While some enjoy its robust berry profiles and herbal notes, others find it a decent, straightforward wine. Its versatility makes it suitable for various dishes, and it's appreciated for its affordability and everyday drinking appeal.
This Nero di Troia from Puglia presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. The bouquet unfurls with layers of ripe black cherry, plum, and a hint of dried herbs, underscored by subtle notes of anise and dark chocolate. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied structure with velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides balance and lift. The mid-palate is rich with flavors of blackcurrant and a whisper of earthy minerality, leading to a long, savory finish. This wine exemplifies the regional typicity of Puglia, offering both complexity and approachability.
