Aged 4 years, consisting of 2 years in French oak barrels, this Sangiovese is a 100% blend of the finest Tuscan grapes. The vineyards are situated on the southern hills of Montalcino, where the voluptuous soil and climate provide optimal conditions for the grape's development. The wine's liveliness is a notable feature, but its finish is somewhat lacking. Decanting is recommended to bring out the full richness of this vintage. The tail is marked by by leather, oak, and tobacco notes, which may be a sign of the wine's age. A good vintage, perhaps, but not to be rushed.
