The 30% whole bunch component adds a level of nuance and profoundness that is characteristic of the Reserve cuvée. The wine's aging in the finest oak barrels has clearly paid off, as it has been selected for the Reserve cuvée, which is the culmination of the best barrels from the Halliday 21 vintage. as I may not have fully grasped the nuances of the whole bunch, I can appreciate the wine's ultimately quality and complexity.
