WINE DESCRIPTION
Arzuaga Gran Arzuaga is a Tempranillo-dominated wine that is produced in Ribera del Duero, Spain. The grapes are planted on chalky soils that helps to retain water during the warm, dry growing season, which allows the vines to thrive. After carrying out the manual harvest, the grapes are sorted and transferred to French barrels for the alcoholic fermentation to begin. A lengthy post-fermentation maceration ensues to create a richly tannic and age-worthy wine, before the wine is aged for around 3 years in oak prior to its release.

Arzuaga Gran Arzuaga Ribera del Duero has an inky, almost opaque appearance with heavy staining of the tears, suggesting a wine of significant extraction.On the nose, it offers a heady bouquet of ripe dark fruits, such as blackberries and plums, accompanied by elegant notes of vanilla, cedar, and spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a velvety texture and seamlessly integrated tannins that provide structure and balance. The flavors of black fruits continue to shine, accompanied by hints of chocolate, tobacco, and a touch of minerality that linger on the hugely impressive and persistent finish.
