Altesino Rosso di Montalcino

Altesino Rosso di Montalcino is praised for its rich, full-bodied character, with consistent notes of cherry, leather, and spice. While some appreciate its robust tannins and earthy undertones, others find it slightly unbalanced or overly intense. The wine's smooth texture and long finish are frequently highlighted, making it a versatile pairing choice. However, a few reviews mention a lack of distinctiveness or high price point.

This Altesino Rosso di Montalcino offers an intense, vibrant nose of ripe black cherry, forest floor and earthy notes. On the palate, it is complex, with a core of dark fruit flavors and hints of licorice, leather and spice. Overall, it is well-balanced and structured, with integrated tannins, good acidity and a long finish. A superb expression of Sangiovese.
