Altesino Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2015

Altesino Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is praised for its smooth, elegant character and complex flavors, including cherry, leather, and earthy notes. While some appreciate its refined minerality and balanced tannins, others find the price-quality ratio lacking. The wine's nuanced profile and potential for aging make it a favorite among enthusiasts, though some vintages are noted for being one-dimensional or needing more time to develop.

This full-bodied Altesino Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is an incredibly pleasurable expression of the Sangiovese grape. Deeply colored with a garnet hue, it offers captivating aromas of ripe red cherry, wild berry and dried herbs. On the palate, it is structured and concentrated, with flavors of sweet cherry, leather and a hint of clove. The tannins are firm and well integrated, while the long finish displays notes of forest floor and spice. This is an elegant and complex wine that will continue to develop and improve with time in the cellar.
