Lovely red wine, but not quite as polished as the one I had the night before. Still, I'm eager to track down a similar bottle to add to my collection.

Pamh Halwe
Rich, full-bodied red wine with a intense garnet hue, boasting a sophisticated nose featuring blackberry, cranberry, and black cherry notes, accompanied by whispers of vanilla, cappuccino, and tobacco. On the palate, the wine is marked by a ripe blackberry and cherry flavor profile, with additional layers of mokka and oak wood. The lasting impression is long and satisfying, with a mild touch of raspberry.

I purchased this wine after sampling it in Salgesch, but upon returning home, it failed to impress with its lack of opening and diminished flavor profile. The color was a bold ruby red, but the typical Cassis tones were noticeably absent. during I appreciated the wine's ruby red hue, I found it to be a poor match for the Cassis I've had in the past, notably from Mathier. I have since purchased a more affordable alternative, the Gamay Mephisto.

Adrian et Diego Mathier Cabernet Sauvignon is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with notes of blackberry, cherry, and subtle spices. While some appreciate its deep color and polished finish, others find it lacks the expected cassis tones. The wine's complexity is enhanced by hints of vanilla and oak, offering a satisfying experience for many, though a few find it less impressive than other options.
This Cabernet Sauvignon presents a deep garnet hue, revealing an intricate bouquet of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and subtle graphite. On the palate, the wine showcases a robust structure with firm, well-integrated tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides a refreshing lift. Layers of cassis, plum, and a hint of cedar unfold, leading to a long, elegant finish with nuances of dark chocolate and a whisper of dried herbs. This wine exemplifies the finesse and depth typical of its terroir, offering a compelling expression that will reward both immediate enjoyment and short-term cellaring.
