Abbatucci Faustine Vieilles Vignes Rouge

This Corsican red blend receives consistent praise for its vibrant red fruit profile (strawberry, cherry, raspberry) balanced with herbal/earthy undertones and smooth tannins. While some note exceptional complexity and aging potential, others mention occasional sharpness in younger vintages. The biodynamic wine shows distinctive minerality and evolves in the glass, appealing to enthusiasts seeking structured yet approachable reds.

Abbatucci's Faustine Vieilles Vignes Rouge is captivating with a medium ruby color, offering a seductive nose where aromas of wild herbs mingle with fresh red berries and a touch of spice, characteristic of the Sciaccarellu varietal. On the palate, it reveals an elegant structure with a silky texture, a medium body that gracefully intertwines flavors of tart cherry, blackberry, and a peppery note. The old vines lend an intensity and concentration to the fruit, while the balanced acidity and refined tannins lead to a long, evocative finish that brings a sense of Corsica's rugged beauty. This is a wine that truly speaks of its origins, perfect for those seeking an authentic and terroir-driven experience.
