Wines by Women, for Women: Celebrate International Women’s Day
March 8 is International Women's Day, and at VinoVoss, we take that very seriously. Our CEO, Angel, and most of our wine team are women!
The theme of this year's International Women's Day is "Accelerate Action", and what better way to celebrate than by highlighting the incredible accomplishments of women winemakers and raising a glass to their outstanding wines?
Here are three must-try wineries led by women winemakers!
Women Winemakers to Try on International Women's Day
Hellen Masters & Katie Cameron - Ata Rangi, Martinborough, New Zealand
Ata Rangi is a winery predominantly run by women! At the forefront are Hellen Masters, head winemaker since 2003, and Katie Cameron, assistant winemaker. Together, they craft an impressive lineup of wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Syrah, but the winery is best known for its Pinot Noir.
While Ata Rangi wines can be hard to find due to their limited availability, their work deserves recognition. Plus, their commitment to sustainability makes them even more inspiring. What's not to love?

Nadia Sadie - David and Nadia Winery, Swartland, South Africa
I've personally fallen in love with the wines of David & Nadia, and I never miss a chance to taste them. Nadia Sadie is a viticulturist and soil scientist who runs the winery with her enologist husband.
One standout wine is Aristargos, a white blend from heritage vineyards in South Africa's Swartland region. It offers amazing complexity and structure, showcasing the essence of Chenin Blanc (known locally as "Steen"). If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out!

Gloria Dal Bosco - Le Battistelle, Soave Classico, Italy
Gloria Dal Bosco is the second-generation winemaker behind Le Battistelle, a family-run winery in the heart of Soave Classico.
Visiting this winery is a unique experience, allowing you to discover the volcanic terroir of the region and stand in awe under 100-year-old pergola-trained vines. The vineyards are not only recognized as “heroic viticulture”, but also classified as "Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems" and certified as "Soave Traditional Vineyards".
Gloria is hands-on in the winery, but her talents don't stop there—she even designed the wine labels herself!

On March 8, celebrate International Women's Day by supporting women-led wineries. But don't stop there—keep in mind all year round that great wine has no gender!
Which women-run wineries do you love? Share your favorites with the beloved women around you!
Cheers!
