Saphira has a grey-blue colour, and the berries are small and round. It produces a relative neutural aromas of citrus, white flowers and stone fruits, with a subtle hint of herbs and good acidity.
Saphira is mainly grown in Germany, with some plantings in Switzerland. Saphira is a vigorous mid ripening grape variety Saphira wines are best served with light dishes such as salads, seafood, white meats and light cheeses.
