On the nose, the aromas of Feteasca Regala are comprised of green apple, pear, tropical fruit, and honeysuckle. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium acidity and medium body. It has a characteristic taste of green apples, honey, and some floral notes. Where is it Grown: Feteasca Regala is most commonly found in Romania, but is also grown in Moldova, Ukraine, Hungary and Slovakia. In Romania, it is primarily grown in the south and southeast, in regions such as Dealu Mare and Dragasani. Viticulture and Winemaking: Feteasca Regala is a vigorous and productive variety that is best grown in warm climates. It is a mid to late-ripening variety and usually harvested in September. It is often vinified in stainless steel tanks, with some producers experimenting with oak aging.
