In 1971, Thevenet & Fils had only 3 hectares of vines and focused primarily on vine nursery production. The family estate spans three generations and is run by brothers Benjamin, Jonathan, and Aurélien Thevenet, who took over from their father Jean-Claude upon his death in 2008.

The estate is located in Pierreclos in southern Burgundy, in the heart of the Mâconnais, and encompasses about 30 hectares. Vineyards are spread across the Val Lamartinien hillsides, between Serrières and Bussières, the rocks of Solutré and Vergisson, Milly Lamartine, and around Pierreclos. Harvesting is largely mechanical and carried out by the estate at optimal ripeness. Grapes are transferred to the winery within hours of harvest and processed with pneumatic presses. Musts are fermented in temperature-controlled vats and aged for several months on fine lees before bottling in the spring or summer. Its wines include Mâcon Pierreclos White and Red cuvées.
