Sea Smoke is a wine producer founded in 1999 with the purchase of a property in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA north of Santa Barbara. Its first vintage was released in 2001.

The 172-acre estate vineyard has a southern exposure and elevations ranging from 218 to 720 feet above sea level. Here, thin Gazos, Lopez and Botella clay topsoils cover a base of semi-siliceous shale with calcareous strata and diatomite. Organic farming began in 2005, alongside biodynamic principles on part of the estate; over the following ten years, biodynamic practices extended across the estate vineyards. In the cellar, each block and clone combination remains separate throughout fermentation and aging, with every wine made as a barrel selection. Its wines include Grand, Ten and Southing estate Pinot Noirs, an estate Chardonnay and Sea Spray sparkling wine.
On VinoVoss, Sea Smoke has 5 wines in stock: 3 red, 1 white, 1 sparkling. Their average rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 622 ratings. Sea Smoke is in the top 10% of the 55 rated Central Coast California wineries on VinoVoss.
