Mont La Salle Altar is a sacramental wine brand with a history tied to The Christian Brothers winery, which had operated since the early 1880s. The Brothers were permitted to continue production during Prohibition because they made sacramental wines. In 1930, they sought a new winery site and built a mission-style complex, naming it Mont La Salle in 1932 after St.

John Baptist de la Salle, the French priest who founded their religious order. Brother Timothy Diener served as cellar master for more than 45 years. In 1989, Mont La Salle vineyards were sold to Heublein, Inc., while four former Christian Brothers winery executives purchased the sacramental wine brand.
On VinoVoss, Mont La Salle Altar has 2 wines in stock: 1 red, 1 fortified.
