Marani, the Telavi Wine Cellar winery, was founded in 1915 on the outskirts of Telavi, in Kakheti’s Alazani Valley. Chief Winemaker Beqa Sozashvili joined the winery after completing secondary school.

The winery’s Kudigora vineyard covers 30.5 hectares on the Alazani River’s left bank within Kindzmarauli PDO, growing only Saperavi. On the right bank, the Kondoli vineyards cover over 300 hectares within Tsinandali PDO. Didkure joined the winery’s vineyards in early 2020, with 23 hectares planted on the northern slopes of the Caucasus Mountains. Across its vineyards, indigenous grapes predominate, including Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane and Kisi. Vines are trained using double Guyot or double Cordon, while selected plots are green harvested to reduce yields for premium wines to 4–5 tons per hectare. Winemaking includes traditional clay qvevri, and its wines include the Satrapezo and Single Vineyard ranges.
On VinoVoss, Marani has 3 wines in stock: 2 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 48 ratings.
