Lovely Creatures

Lovely Creatures is a wine label owned by Vine Street Imports and launched in the US market in 2021. Its wines are made by Stephanie Wiid of Thistle & Weed, with average annual production of 1,500 cases.

All its wines come from Stellenbosch but are labelled as Western Cape for international recognizability. The vineyard sites lie at the base of the Simonsberg Mountain on clay-driven granitic soils, and farming is sustainable. Chardonnay and Pinotage age in stainless steel, while Cabernet Sauvignon and a small portion of Pinotage age in used oak. Its wines include single-variety Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinotage, which joined the range in 2024.
