Layer Cake is a wine brand that started in South Australia after a meeting with a few growers in a pub. Its story continued with family growers in Argentina, before the people behind the brand returned to Napa, which they describe as their homeland.
In Napa, they sought out vineyards, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay considered natural choices to make there. The grapes are handpicked, separated and carefully fermented, then aged in French oak. Its wines include Layer Cake Malbec, born from the collaboration with family growers in Argentina.
