Constantia Glen is a wine estate below Constantia Nek, overlooking the Constantia Valley. Originally Benydendal and later Klein Benydendal, the farm was registered in 1813 to Johannes Gregorius van Helsdingen, its first owner to plant vines. The Waibel family from Austria bought this same farm, called Glen Alpine, in 1960. Around 1998, Dieter Waibel, his son Alexander and son-in-law Gus Allen planned its return to wine farming. Vineyard planting followed in September 2000, with most planted in 2001. The farm became Constantia Glen when its first wine was produced in 2005; its cellarmaster is Justin van Wyk.

The 60-hectare estate lies between the Constantiaberg and Table Mountain ranges, with predominantly north-east-facing slopes and 29 hectares under vine. Decomposed granite and Table Mountain sandstone dominate its soils, while water-retaining clay subsoils support sustainable dryland cultivation. Natural predators control insects and pests, while the foothills require hand harvesting.
