Cru Micalet was first mentioned in 1893 as a cru artisan belonging to caterer and pastry chef Jean Péraud in Lamarque. Madeleine Guiet took over the property in 1940. Denis Fédieu bought the vineyard in 1972 and co-founded the Médoc crus artisans syndicate in 1989 to promote small family-owned wine estates. EARL Fédieu was established in 1996 upon Damien's installation. Dominique joined in 2007 following the retirement of Anne Marie and Denis Fédieu, with Damien and Dominique Fédieu as winemakers.

Located in Cussac-Fort-Médoc and Lamarque in Haut-Médoc, the 7.5-hectare vineyard has deep gravel soils, a planting density of 8,000 vines per hectare, and an average vine age of 35 years. The entire vineyard was converted to organic farming in 2006, and it is certified organic. Estate grape varieties are 56% Petit Verdot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 17% Merlot. Grapes are harvested by hand, undergo alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats, and age entirely in barrels, 30% of which are new. Annual production is between 30,000 and 40,000 bottles, and its wines include Cuvée Origine and Château Moneins.
