Château Mauvesin Barton is a wine estate in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, first acquired in 1457 by Jean de Foix Grailly. Lodoïs Le Blanc de Mauvesin had the château built in 1853; after his death in 1884, his first cousin Hippolyte de Baritault du Carpia inherited the property. Lilian Barton Sartorius and her two children acquired it in 2011, and Mélanie joined the family business in 2013, taking technical direction.

Its 47 hectares of vines average 35 years old, with plantings of 56% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Merlot grows on clay-limestone soils, while Cabernet Sauvignon grows on fine gravel. Farming measures include gradual vine removal and replanting with better rootstocks, alongside more soil cultivation to reduce weeding.
