In 2015, Tim Rudd acquired the land and established Brookdale Estate as a working wine farm in the Paarl Winelands of South Africa. The Rudd family transformed the property from an overgrown, forgotten vineyard into a country retreat. The winemaking team consists of Winemaker Xander Sadie and Assistant Winemaker Shanice du Preez.

The estate covers 67 hectares in total, with 24 hectares under vine planted from 2016. Vineyard soils consist of granite and clay. A single block of approximately 40-year-old Chenin Blanc was saved from pre-existing vines. The estate's oldest block is Old Vine Chenin Blanc planted in 1985, and the youngest vineyard block is Counoise, planted in 2024. White grape varieties include Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne, Piquepoul Blanc, Petite Manseng, Palomino, Vermentino, and Assyrtiko. Red varieties include Grenache Noir, Touriga Nacional, Mourvèdre, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Tinta Roriz, Sangiovese, Cinsault, and Counoise.
On VinoVoss, Brookdale Estate has 3 wines in stock: 1 red, 2 white. Their average rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 28 ratings.
