Blandy's founder John Blandy arrived in Madeira in 1808 and founded the business in 1811 with his brothers Thomas and George. The Blandy family owns and manages the company, which joined the Madeira Wine Association in 1925 and partnered with the Symington family in 1989.

The company manages approximately 10 hectares of vineyards, including Quinta do Bispo and Quinta do Furão on the north of the island, and at Quinta de Santa Luzia, it grows Sercial, Verdelho, Terrantez, Bual, and Tinta Negra. Vineyards implement 100% ground cover to prevent erosion and retain nutrients. White grape varieties undergo pellicular maceration, fermentation in stainless steel tanks is halted with 96% natural grape spirit, and aging uses Canteiro or Estufagem methods, mainly in American oak, Brazilian satinwood, and chestnut casks, with wines that include Blandy's Malmsey 1994 Harvest.
On VinoVoss, Blandy's has 2 wines in stock: 2 fortified. Their average rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 37 ratings.
