Badenhorst produces wine on Kalmoesfontein, a Swartland farm in South Africa acquired by cousins Adi and Hein Badenhorst in 2008. They produce AA Badenhorst wines with their extended family and a hand-picked crew.

Kalmoesfontein and Jakkalsfontein have over 180 hectares of old bush vines. Vineyards on decomposed granite include South Africa’s oldest Grenache vineyard, planted in 1952, Ramnasgras Cinsault (1964), SK'Windjies Vlei Tinta Barocca (1966) and Ringmuur Cinsault (1969). Guided by Adi’s philosophy, they use old cement kuipe and basket presses. For one wine, whole bunches ferment in old wooden vats before 12 months in a foudre; for another, they undergo carbonic fermentation before 11 months in a 600L vat and unfiltered bottling. Its wines include Secateurs, Kalmoesfontein blends, and old-vine and single-vineyard wines.
On VinoVoss, Badenhorst has 3 wines in stock: 1 red, 1 white, 1 rosé. Their average rating is 3.6 out of 5 from 88 ratings.
