WINE DESCRIPTION
Tyrrell's Sémillon is one of the Australia's most unique offerings and a signature style from the Hunter Valley. Semillon grapes were machine picked in the cool of the night to retain freshness before gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine then spent a short amount of time on yeast lees to gain extra complexity and mouth feel. The result is a vibrant and refreshing white wine, with razor sharp acidity and notes of lemon peel and green apple.

Tyrrell's Sémillon offers enticing aromas of citrus fruits, such as lemon and grapefruit.The palate showcases a vibrant and zesty character brimming with citrus flavors, accompanied by a subtle herbaceousness and a touch of minerality. The piercing acidity is well-balanced by the zesty fruit flavors providing a crisp and lively mouthfeel.
Tyrrell's Sémillon will develop textural breadth gaining aromas of lanolin and beeswax with further bottle aging.

Australia's Hunter Valley is one of the oldest and most iconic wine regions in the world. Located in the state of New South Wales, the Hunter Valley is renowned for its Semillon and Shiraz wines, as well as its picturesque landscape.
James Busby shipped pre-phylloxera European vine cuttings to the Hunter Valley in the 1830s and by the following decade there were over 500 acres (200 hectares) of vineyard in the country.
