WINE DESCRIPTION
Skylark Alondra Middleridge Ranch Vineyard Chardonnay is named after 'Alondra', Spanish for Skylark. Chardonnay is sourced from a small block planted in 1981 on alluvial soils. Grapes are hand harvested, then whole cluster pressed into stainless steel for fermentation to begin. The wine spends a period in inert vessel as not to impart oak flavor that could mask the quality of the wine or expression of terroir, resulting in a Chardonnay with energy, purity of fruit and plenty of substance.
