WINE DESCRIPTION
Shannon Ridge Chardonnay (High Elevation) is produced Shannon Family of Wines who are dedicated to creating wines using sustainable means and are organically certified. Chardonnay is harvested from the Red Hills at high elevation meaning the grapes ripen slower and retain their acidity better than those planted on the valley floor. After harvesting the grapes, the wines are fermented and matured with a proportion of oak to add subtle toasty notes and sweet spice designed to complement the ripe stone and tropical fruit flavors.

Shannon Ridge Chardonnay has a nose that is filled with enticing aromas of ripe tropical fruits, such as pineapple and mango, along with hints of citrus and vanilla.On the palate, this Chardonnay offers a rich and creamy texture, balanced by refreshing acidity. The flavors of custard apple, and lemon zest are complemented by subtle oak notes, adding complexity to the wine.

The North Coast of California boasts some of the most renowned vineyards and wineries in the world. Located in the northern part of the state, the North Coast is home to the Napa Valley, Sonoma County, and Mendocino County, all of which are recognised for their exceptional wines.
The North Coast of California has a long and storied history of winemaking, dating back to the mid-1800s. The region was first planted with vines by Spanish missionaries, who planted Mission grapes in the area. In the late 1800s, Italian immigrants began to settle in the region, bringing with them their own grape varieties and winemaking techniques.
