WINE DESCRIPTION
Scarbolo Pinot Grigio is made from grapes sourced from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region located in the far Northeast of Italy. The grapes are typically manually harvested and sorted before undergoing a soft pressing. The juice is cooled and transferred to stainless steel vats to undergo a cool fermentation to retain bright fruit character. Finally, the wine is matured on the fine lees (decomposing yeast) in stainless steel for 6 months with frequent stirring which contributes body and texture to the wine.

Scarbolo Pinot Grigio displays a pale straw color with hints of green.The nose is delicate with an array of fresh citrus and orchard fruits, such as lemon, grapefruit and pear along with subtle floral notes. These aromas continue onto the palate, where they are complemented by zesty acidity. This Pinot Grigio is dry and light-bodied, but despite its easy-going style it displays mid-palate breadth and a creaminess which adds textural complexity to the wine. The finish is a little brief, culminating in a burst of acidity and flavors of lemon peel and fresh pears.
