A pleasing wine from Sardinia, my first Cannonau. Initially, I was taken aback by its pale red hue, but it quickly loses its impact on the palate. In the mouth, the wine is fruity, with earthy traces and a strong, perceptible smokiness, reminiscent of smoked plums.
