The San Giuseppe Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a full-bodied, rich red from the Negrar hills in Valpolicella, made from select Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes. Only the outer, sun-exposed recioto clusters are used, ensuring concentrated flavors. After hand-picking, the grapes are dried for about 120 days, pressed, and steeped with skins for 30 days. The wine is aged in oak for circa 18 months and refined in bottle.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
The wine presents a deep, intense red color and offers a bouquet filled with ripe, dark fruit aromas, including black cherries and prunes, accompanied by subtle spicy and oaky nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety with rich tannins. The balance between its bold flavors and the smooth, rounded mouthfeel makes it a standout Amarone, showcasing both power and elegance. The finish is long and lingering, with the fruit flavors and oak influence harmoniously integrated.
