WINE DESCRIPTION
Ronco Severo Pinot Grigio is a skin-contact wine made using the pink-skinned Pinot Grigio variety, hailing from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, located in Northeast Italy. The vineyards are planted at high elevation, which creates a cooling influence, helping to slow ripening and ensuring the grapes retain freshness. Grapes are hand harvested and softly pressed, before undergoing a lengthy fermentation with skins in large oak vats. The wine matures for around 2 years in oak barrels prior to bottling.

Ronco Severo Pinot Grigio displays an attractive coppery color in the glass, typical of a skin contact wine.In the glass, offers an array of citrus fruits, such as orange and grapefruit zest, along with subtle floral notes. These aromas continue onto the palate, where they are accompanied by flavors of desiccated red apple skin, dried mango and walnuts. The wine has a fresh acidity that adds to its overall freshness and balance, enhanced by a gentle grip typical of skin contact wines that adds balance on the moderate length finish.
