We savored a delightful afternoon with Alexa's 2015 that we sought the 2016. \nWe enjoyed a crisp glass of light Grenache on the deck with friends over lunch on a pleasant day.

Truly remarkable vintage, with superb old vines and a long history of producing high-quality Grenache. The fruit is beautifully handled, resulting in a sophisticated and elegant wine that is well worth the investment. A remarkable cost effectiveness for money, with a long shelf life and potential for aging for 5-8 years.

Deep olfactory profile of red fruit, with subtle spice and a wisp of floral nuance, unfolds on the palate, accompanied by a smooth, herbaceous mouthfeel and a crisp, lean finish. The wine's dry, medium-bodied character is seamless by a delicate earthy undertone, though its tanginess and tannins provide a pleasant, smooth texture. A satisfying, easy going wine that pairs well with a variety of dishes, with spicy chorizo and fava beans. A good deal for the price, but not a stellar in terms of depth or nuance. 3.5 stars.
