WINE DESCRIPTION
Pont de Chevalier Estate Chardonnay is a complex, dry, judiciously oaked Chardonnay hailing from the Knights Valley in Sonoma County.
Knights Bridge Estate source grapes from their own vineyards, from carefully selected blocks. The fruit was hand-picked in the cooler, early morning to maintain freshness. On arrival at the winery, the grapes were gently pressed before being racked to a mix of neutral and new French oak barrels for fermentation at cool temperatures. Once fermentation was complete, the wine remained in barrel for around ten months on fine lees (decomposing yeast) to add texture and depth.

The Pont de Chevalier Estate Chardonnay has a bright, pale golden hue, which immediately captivates the eye.On the nose, it offers a bouquet of ripe tropical fruits, such as pineapple and mango, intertwined with delicate floral notes of acacia. Subtle hints of vanilla and toasted oak add depth and complexity to the aroma. On the palate, this Chardonnay showcases a harmonious balance between fruit and well-integrated oak. The tropical fruit flavors persist, accompanied by flavors of ripe pear and citrus zest. The wine's creamy texture and contribute to a smooth and elegant mouthfeel, whilst the long finish leaves an impression of toasted almonds and brown butter.
