WINE DESCRIPTION
Nicodemi Terrana Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is produced by Elena and Alessandro Nicodemi in the region of Abruzzo, on the East Coast of Italy. The organically certified Montepulciano vines are grown on limestone and clay soil. Grapes are harvested by hand before being crushed and macerated prior to the fermentation to enhance aromatics and color. Vinification and maturation occurs in stainless steel tanks with a focus on retention of varietal character and purity of fruit.

Nicodemi Terrana Montepulciano d'Abruzzo displays an inky deep ruby-purple hue in the glass.On the nose, it presents a bouquet of ripe dark fruits, such as blackberries and plums, accompanied by subtle hints of spices and earthy undertones. The has a medium to full body with ripe fruit notes. These flavors are accompanied by dried herbs and spice, whilst well-integrated tannins provide structure and balance. There is a pleasant acidity that adds freshness and liveliness to the wine, lifting the dry refreshing finish.
