Gaston Chiquet has earned a stellar reputation, a notable achievement in a region crowded with numerous small producers. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of owners Antoine and Nicolas Chiquet. Located in the charmingly named Dizy, the family's history with vines dates back to 1746, but it wasn't until 1935 that brothers Ferdinand and Gaston Chiquet ventured into Champagne production under their own label instead of solely supplying grapes to larger houses. With vineyards in prestigious villages like Ay, Mareuil-sur-Ay, and Hautvillers, they currently craft 15,000 cases annually, featuring a blend of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.

For four generations, André Jacquart's family solely cultivated Champagne grapes. In 1958, André Jacquart introduced estate-bottled Champagne production in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, a Grand Cru Champagne Village. Since 2004, Champagne André Jacquart has been based in Vertus, a Premier Cru Champagne Village. Fifth-generation member Marie Doyard now manages the business, inspired by her grandfather André Jacquart's legacy. Notably, her paternal grandfather, Maurice Doyard, played a pivotal role in establishing the AOC Champagne and delineating its vineyard areas. The winery employs 70% old Burgundy oak barrels, including Aquaflex barrels for gentle still wine fermentation of grand cru Chardonnay, imparting subtle vanilla and spice notes while preserving the wine's initial fruit characteristics. The wines are zero dosage, undergo no malolactic fermentation, and enjoy a minimum of five years on the lees before disgorgement.
